Quick answer

The Adventure Time: Distant Lands – Obsidian (Original Soundtrack) 2xLP is a two-record vinyl release of the music from the Marceline and Princess Bubblegum episode. It is a strong pick if you want that storyline on wax, but note that it ships in Q1 2027, so it is a preorder rather than an immediate listen.

Why the Obsidian episode makes this pressing stand out

Obsidian is the second Distant Lands special, and it builds its story around the relationship between Marceline the Vampire Queen and Princess Bubblegum, told through flashbacks. That focus gives the soundtrack a different emotional arc from a general Adventure Time compilation, which matters if you are collecting by character or storyline rather than by series alone.

What the 2xLP format means for this release

A 2xLP spreads the soundtrack across two records, which usually means fewer tracks per side and more room for the music to breathe. The trade-off is that you will be flipping records more often than with a single LP, and you need shelf space for a gatefold-style package. The catalog does not list a tracklist, so treat any specific song lineup as unconfirmed until the label publishes it.

Shipping timing and price context

This release is listed with shipping in Q1 2027, so it is a preorder. The catalog price is USD 26.22 against a comparison price of USD 42.99, which makes it a relatively low-cost way to lock in a copy early. If you need a gift for a date before 2027, this is not the right item; if you are planning your collection for next year, the timing is reasonable.

Obsidian 2xLP: quick answers

Is this a Marceline-focused soundtrack?

Yes. The episode centers on Marceline and Princess Bubblegum's relationship, so the music follows that storyline rather than a broad series selection.

When does it ship?

Shipping is listed for Q1 2027. That makes it a preorder, not an in-stock item. Do not buy this for a gift needed before 2027.

How does the price compare?

The catalog price is USD 26.22 against a comparison price of USD 42.99, so it is positioned as a lower-cost preorder.

Who is this for?
