When to switch from rear-facing to forward-facing

The rear-facing mode supports children from 4 to 40 lb. Experts recommend keeping your child rear-facing as long as possible, until they reach the maximum weight or height allowed by the seat. The All4Stages Slim+ has four rear-facing recline options to help achieve a proper fit. Once your child hits 40 lb, it's time to switch to forward-facing, which accommodates 30 to 65 lb. The seat offers two forward-facing recline positions for comfort and vehicle fit.

Moving to booster mode

When your child outgrows the forward-facing harness (65 lb), you can transition to high-back booster mode, which uses the vehicle's lap and shoulder belt. The high-back booster supports 40 to 100 lb. Later, you can remove the back to use the no-back booster for children 40 to 120 lb. Always check your child's height and the vehicle's belt fit to ensure the booster positions the belt correctly across the shoulder and hips.

How the canopy fits into daily use
