Quick Answer
Choose the Candy & Cat Kit if you want a compact plastic case with playful cat and candy colors. Choose the Macaron Kit if you prefer a larger hard case and soft pastel shades like mint, pistachio, lemon, and pink.
Case Type and Size: Plastic vs Hard Case
The Candy & Cat Kit comes in a plastic case measuring 7.5 x 6.5 x 2.5 cm, while the Macaron Kit comes in a hard case measuring 7.5 x 7.5 x 3.5 cm. The Macaron Kit is slightly larger in every dimension, which gives it more internal room but also takes up more space in a bag.
A hard case generally offers more protection against crushing, while a plastic case is lighter. Neither kit's catalog facts specify a mirror or additional compartments, so check the product page if those features matter to you.
Color Options: Playful vs Pastel
The Candy & Cat Kit includes Pink Cat, Mint Cat, Pink Candy, Mint Candy, and White Candy color options, giving you five choices with a mix of cat-themed and candy-themed names. The Macaron Kit offers Mint, Pistachio, Lemon, and Pink, for four softer, dessert-inspired shades.
If you like variety and a bit of whimsy, the Candy & Cat Kit has more colors to choose from. If you prefer a coordinated pastel palette, the Macaron Kit's selection is more focused.
What Both Kits Include
Both kits contain the same core accessories: one lens case, one pair of tweezers, one applicator, and one solution bottle. That means the decision comes down to case type, size, and color rather than missing tools.
Neither kit's catalog facts mention lenses themselves, so treat these as accessory sets for storing and handling your lenses, not as a lens purchase.
Key Trade-Offs to Weigh
- Portability vs Protection: The Candy & Cat Kit's plastic case is smaller and lighter, so it slips into small bags easily. The Macaron Kit's hard case is bigger and heavier but resists crushing better. If you carry your kit daily in a crowded bag, the hard case may be worth the extra bulk.
- Color Variety vs Cohesive Palette: The Candy & Cat Kit gives you five colors, including cat-themed options. The Macaron Kit offers four pastel shades that sit together more cohesively. Pick based on whether you want more choices or a matched look.
- Price Difference: At catalog prices, the Candy & Cat Kit is USD 5.28 and the Macaron Kit is USD 5.36, a difference of just a few cents. Both are listed with a comparison price of USD 8.00. Price is unlikely to be the deciding factor, so focus on case type and colors.
