Quick answer
The CCTV Sector 404 Backpack fits a 15-inch laptop, a tablet, sunglasses, and daily essentials, but lacks a dedicated padded laptop compartment, so it works best for light tech carry with a protective sleeve.
Why compartment layout matters more than total size
At 18 x 6 x 11.5 inches, the CCTV Sector 404 Backpack is a slim everyday pack, not a giant hauler. Its real strength is how it organizes smaller items, not raw volume.
The front zipper pocket and side pockets keep keys, phone, and water bottle within reach, while the interior stash pocket and separate velour-lined sunglass compartment protect valuables from scratches.
The trade-off: there is no padded laptop compartment. If you carry a laptop daily, you will need a separate sleeve or case, which eats into the main compartment space.
What the slide-through back sleeve adds to travel
A slide-through back sleeve lets you attach the backpack to carry-on luggage handles, freeing your hands in airports or train stations. This feature is rare in backpacks under $45 and makes the Sector 404 a practical travel companion despite its modest size.
Diagnosis: Does the CCTV Sector 404 Backpack fit your gear?
- Symptom: You want to carry a laptop, tablet, sunglasses, water bottle, and a few notebooks, but the backpack feels tight or disorganized.
- Likely cause: The main compartment is a single open space with no padded laptop slot. Items shift around, and the 6-inch depth limits stacking.
- Corrective action: Use a slim laptop sleeve (max 15-inch) to protect your device and slide it against the back panel. Store sunglasses in the dedicated velour compartment. Keep frequently accessed items in the front and side pockets. This setup works for light tech carry, but a 17-inch laptop or multiple textbooks will not fit comfortably.
- Stop / Choose another option: If you need a padded laptop compartment, a hydration sleeve, or space for gym clothes and a lunch box, consider a SPRAYGROUND® backpack with a dedicated tech compartment and deeper main body. The CCTV Sector 404 is a slim, organized everyday pack, not a heavy-duty tech or gym bag.
