When it comes to home organization, the right storage basket can make all the difference. Today, we're taking a closer look at the Coolorista Basket, a square 23x23x9 cm light beige storage solution that promises to blend style with functionality. Whether you're tidying up your kitchen counter, bathroom shelf, or home office, this basket aims to be a versatile companion.
In this review, we'll examine its design, materials, build quality, and practical uses. We'll also compare it with other storage options from Westmark, such as the stainless steel lunch box and the salad butler, to help you decide if this basket earns a spot in your home.
Design and Aesthetics: A Minimalist's Dream
The Coolorista Basket features a clean, square silhouette that fits neatly into shelves, cabinets, and countertops. Its dimensions – 23x23x9 cm – make it compact yet spacious enough for everyday essentials. The light beige color is neutral and warm, complementing a variety of interior styles, from Scandinavian minimalism to rustic farmhouse.
Unlike some storage baskets that feel flimsy or cheap, the Coolorista Basket has a sturdy construction. The material appears to be a durable woven or rattan-like finish, giving it a natural texture that adds depth to any space. We appreciate that the basket is lightweight, making it easy to move around, yet robust enough to hold heavier items without sagging.
- Compact square shape fits standard shelves and drawers
- Light beige color matches most decor palettes
- Sturdy yet lightweight build
Practical Uses: Where Does It Shine?
Versatility is the Coolorista Basket's biggest strength. In the kitchen, it's perfect for storing fresh produce like onions and garlic, or for corralling utensils and condiments. Its open design allows for easy access, and the low height (9 cm) means you can see everything at a glance.
Beyond the kitchen, this basket works wonders in the bathroom for toiletries, in the bedroom for accessories, or on a desk for stationery. We found it particularly useful for organizing small items that tend to clutter countertops. For those who love to entertain, it can even serve as a charming serving basket for bread or snacks.
- Ideal for kitchen counter organization
- Great for bathroom and bedroom storage
- Can double as a serving tray for casual gatherings
Build Quality and Durability: Built to Last?
We put the Coolorista Basket through daily use for two weeks, and it held up admirably. The weave is tight, with no loose strands or fraying. The edges are neatly finished, and the basket maintains its shape even when filled with heavier items like canned goods.
One minor concern is that the basket is not waterproof, so we'd advise against using it for wet items directly. However, for dry storage, it's excellent. Cleaning is straightforward – a quick wipe with a damp cloth and it's good as new. Given its solid construction, this basket is likely to last for years with proper care.
- Tight weave and neat finishing
- Holds shape under weight
- Not waterproof – avoid wet items
Comparing with Westmark Storage Options
Westmark offers a range of storage solutions, and it's interesting to see how the Coolorista Basket stacks up. For instance, the Stainless steel lunch box/food storage container, 400 ml is a more rigid, airtight option for meal prep, while the Coolorista Basket excels in open, breathable storage for everyday items.

Similarly, the Salad butler »Praktika«, 6,5 l, red is designed for serving and storing salads, with a larger capacity and a lid. The Coolorista Basket, on the other hand, is more about general organization. If you need something decorative yet functional, the basket is a great choice, but for food-specific storage, those other products might be more suitable.
