Quick answer
The Crayon Shinchan Growing Fun blind box is a surprise-format collectible from the EGG-CELLENT series, priced at $14.00. If you enjoy the thrill of not knowing which figure you'll get, it's a fun low-cost pick for Shinchan fans.
What the blind box format means for buyers
A blind box means you won't know which figure is inside until you open it. That uncertainty is the point: it adds surprise and makes trading or comparing with other collectors part of the fun. The trade-off is that you can't choose a specific character or design upfront, so if you have your heart set on one particular look, a blind box may not be the right format for you.
Why the series name matters less than you might think
The Growing Fun Series is one entry in the broader Crayon Shinchan blind box lineup. Because each series has its own theme and figure assortment, collectors often focus on the theme rather than trying to complete every series. If you're new to Shinchan collectible figures, starting with one themed series like this one keeps things manageable and lets you decide whether the blind box format suits you before buying more.
Frequently asked questions
What is inside the Crayon Shinchan Growing Fun blind box?
Each box holds one surprise figure from the Growing Fun Series, featuring the Crayon Shinchan character in a fun, growing-themed design. The exact figure is not revealed until you open the box.
Can I choose which figure I get?
No. The blind box format means the figure is random, so you cannot select a specific character or design when you order. This is standard for blind box collectibles.
What are the odds of getting a particular figure?
The store does not publish a per-figure odds breakdown for this series. Without an official ratio, any specific odds would be a guess. Treat each box as a random draw and buy for the fun of the surprise rather than a guaranteed outcome. If exact odds matter to you, ask the store before ordering or look for a series that publishes its ratios.
How much does it cost?
The catalog price is USD 14.00, with a comparison price of USD 20.00. That puts it in an affordable range for a single collectible figure.
Is this a good gift for a Shinchan fan?
Yes, if the person enjoys surprise collectibles and the Crayon Shinchan character. The low price and playful theme make it an easy add-on gift. Avoid it if the recipient prefers to pick exact figures.
How does this series fit with other Shinchan blind boxes?
The Growing Fun Series is one themed series within the wider Crayon Shinchan blind box range. Each series has its own figure assortment, so you can collect by theme rather than trying to complete everything at once. Decide whether you're collecting this theme specifically or just sampling the format before committing to multiple boxes.
