Quick answer
The BIBS Cuddle Cloth Kangaroo is a soft organic cotton comfort cloth that soothes your baby with its kangaroo ears and pacifier ring. Use it for cuddling, teething comfort, and keeping a pacifier close, but always follow safety checks to prevent choking or entanglement.
Why choose a cuddle cloth over a blanket
A cuddle cloth is smaller and lighter than a baby blanket, making it easier for infants to grasp and hold. It provides a sense of security without the suffocation risk that loose blankets can pose in a crib. The BIBS Cuddle Cloth Kangaroo is designed for supervised cuddle time, not for sleep.
The pacifier ring: convenience with caution
The built-in ring lets you attach any BIBS pacifier so your baby always has it nearby. This is handy during playtime or car rides, but never leave your baby unattended with the pacifier attached to the cloth while sleeping. The ring is secure but not designed for unsupervised use.
How to use and stay safe with your Cuddle Cloth Kangaroo
- Symptom: Baby seems restless or wants to suckle but keeps losing the pacifier: Attach the pacifier to the cloth’s ring so it stays within reach. Let your baby hold the cloth during supervised play or cuddle time.
- Likely cause: The cloth is being used during sleep or without supervision: Never place the cuddle cloth in the crib or bassinet. Do not tie or knot the cloth around any part of your baby's body or crib bars. Stop using the cloth for sleep immediately. Switch to a sleep sack or wearable blanket.
- Corrective action: Cleaning and wear check: Wash the cloth before first use and regularly after. Check for loose threads, fraying, or damage to the ring. Discard if any part becomes detached. Replace the cloth if the ring or stitching is compromised.
