Quick answer
Choose the Cyril Squirrel Fox Baby Teether if your baby enjoys varied textures and a handle-like tail for easy grasping. Pick Arnold the Avocado Baby Teether if you want a veggie-shaped toy that encourages healthy habits and offers sensory play.
Design and texture: playful animal vs. healthy veggie
The Cyril Squirrel Fox Baby Teether features a distinctive half-fox, half-squirrel design with a long tail shaped like a handle, making it easy for little hands to hold and chew. Its ribbing and other textures provide varied sensory stimulation, which can be especially soothing for teething gums.
Arnold the Avocado Baby Teether takes a veggie shape that introduces kids to a healthy lifestyle from a young age. While it also offers sensory play, its design focuses more on a smooth, rounded form that is gentle on gums.
Play value: teether, bath toy, and beyond
Both teethers double as bath toys, adding fun to water time. The Cyril Squirrel Fox's tail handle makes it easy to grip when wet, while Arnold the Avocado's shape is simple for babies to hold during sensory play.
Arnold's avocado theme can be a conversation starter about healthy eating, though this is more about parental messaging than direct baby interaction.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Graspability: Cyril's tail handle offers a built-in grip, making it easier for babies to hold and chew independently.
- Texture variety: Cyril provides ribbing and other textures for more sensory input, while Arnold offers a smoother surface.
- Thematic appeal: Arnold's avocado shape can support a healthy-eating narrative, but this benefit is more for parents than babies. Consider which design elements matter most to you and your baby's current teething stage.
