Quick answer
For a roaring good time, choose the Dinosaur Cake Candles; for a wilder, more colorful celebration, the Jungle Jamboree Candles are your best bet.
Theme and style differences
Both candle sets come from Meri Meri and are designed to top a birthday cake, but they evoke very different party vibes. The Dinosaur Cake Candles feature five prehistoric creatures that appeal to dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages. The Jungle Jamboree Candles offer six wild animal designs, perfect for a safari or animal-themed party.
If you are planning a party around a specific theme, the choice often comes down to which animals your child loves most. Both sets coordinate with their respective collections (Dinosaur Kingdom and Jungle Jamboree), so you can expand the theme to tableware, decorations, and accessories.
Candle count and value
The candle count differs between the two sets: the Dinosaur set includes five candles, while the Jungle Jamboree set includes six. This can be a deciding factor if you have a specific number of candles in mind for a cake, or if you are comparing cost per candle.
At the time of writing, the Dinosaur Cake Candles are priced at USD 7.19 (compare at USD 9.99), and the Jungle Jamboree Candles at USD 8.15 (compare at USD 11.99). The Jungle set costs slightly more but includes one extra candle, making the per-candle cost very similar.
Trade-offs to consider
- Theme appeal: Dinosaur candles suit a prehistoric or dinosaur party; jungle candles fit a safari, animal, or wild-themed party. Match the candle theme to your party's overall theme for a cohesive look.
- Candle count: Dinosaur set has 5 candles; Jungle set has 6 candles. If you need exactly 5 candles, the dinosaur set is ideal. For 6, choose jungle.
- Price difference: Dinosaur set costs USD 7.19; Jungle set costs USD 8.15. Both offer similar per-candle value. The price difference is small, so let theme preference guide you.
