Quick answer

Choose Elmo Light-Up Cubes for a bright red glow and a classic favorite character, or Big Bird Light-Up Cubes for a warm yellow-orange light and a sunny personality. Both offer the same sensory bath fun, so your decision comes down to color preference and which character your child connects with most.

Color and character appeal

Both Elmo and Big Bird are beloved Sesame Street characters, but their light colors create different bath time moods. Elmo cubes glow red, matching his iconic fur, while Big Bird cubes light up yellow and orange, bringing a warm, sunny feel to the water. If your child has a favorite character or color, that natural preference will guide your choice.

The cubes themselves are identical in function—they activate when dropped into water and are hand-packaged with care in Starkville, MS. The only differences are the character design on the cube and the color of the light.

Price and value

Both 4-packs are priced similarly, with Elmo at $7.19 and Big Bird at $8.15 (compared to a regular price of $11.99 each). The slight price difference may reflect packaging or availability, but both offer good value for a 4-pack of light-up sensory toys. If budget is a factor, the Elmo set is a little more affordable.

Trade-offs at a glance
