Quick answer

The Vornado Fly Move rechargeable fan delivers up to 17 hours of cooling on a full charge, making it a top choice for cordless personal comfort at home, in the office, or on the go.

Understanding battery life and charging

The Fly Move's rechargeable battery provides up to 17 hours of runtime on the lowest speed setting. Actual runtime varies with the speed you select and the ambient temperature. Higher speeds consume more power, so expect shorter run times at max airflow.

Charging is straightforward via the included USB cable. A full charge typically takes a few hours, but the fan can be used while plugged in if you need continuous cooling. The battery is not user-replaceable, which keeps the design lightweight and compact.

Portability and design trade-offs

Weighing very little and small enough to slip into a bag, the Fly Move is genuinely ultraportable. Its integrated handle makes it easy to carry, and the three-speed motor lets you adjust airflow from a gentle breeze to a more powerful stream.

One trade-off: the fan's compact size means it's best for personal use rather than cooling an entire room. It excels at providing targeted airflow while you work, relax, or sleep. The soothing sound signature is designed to support focus and relaxation, not to be silent.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the battery last on a single charge?

Up to 17 hours on the lowest speed setting. Higher speeds will reduce runtime. Actual battery life depends on the speed selected and usage conditions.

Can I use the fan while it's charging?

Yes, the Fly Move can be used while plugged into a USB power source, so you never have to stop cooling even if the battery is low.

Is the Fly Move good for outdoor use?

Yes, its lightweight, cordless design and long battery life make it suitable for outdoor activities like camping, picnics, or patio lounging, as long as it's kept away from direct rain or splashes. For outdoor use, consider carrying a power bank to extend runtime beyond 17 hours.

How do I clean or maintain the fan?

Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior. The grille can be gently dusted with a brush or compressed air. Do not submerge the fan in water or use liquid cleaners, as it is not waterproof.

What is the warranty for the Fly Move?

Vornado offers a standard warranty on this product. Check the included documentation or the Vornado website for specific terms and coverage details.
