Quick answer
The Fugitive Events Expansion adds 8 two-sided event cards that replace the 1st Edition events, introducing new wrinkles to keep the chase fresh while fitting neatly into your 2nd Edition box.
What makes these cards different from the original events?
The original Fugitive 1st Edition events were printed on standard card stock and offered a fixed set of surprises. The Events Expansion reimagines them as 8 two-sided cards, effectively giving you 16 possible situations per game. This design doubles the variety without increasing the physical footprint.
Are there any trade-offs?
Because the cards are two-sided, you need to flip them before each game to randomize which side is active. This adds a small setup step. Also, the expansion is built for Fugitive 2nd Edition—if you own the 1st Edition, you may want to check compatibility with your rulebook.
Frequently asked questions
How many cards are in the expansion?
The expansion includes 8 event cards, each printed on both sides. That gives you 16 distinct event faces to mix into your games.
Do these cards fit in the Fugitive 2nd Edition box?
Yes, they fit if you remove the pile tracker tile. The cards are made of PVC material to match the 2nd Edition components. Before buying, check that you have the 2nd Edition box or enough space to store the extra cards separately.
How do the new cards change gameplay?
Each event introduces a unique twist—like forcing the Fugitive to reveal a clue earlier or giving the Marshal a temporary advantage. The two-sided design means you never know which version of an event you'll draw. If your group enjoys high unpredictability, shuffle the event decks and keep the unused side hidden until drawn.
Can I use these with the 1st Edition of Fugitive?
The cards are designed for the 2nd Edition rule set. While you could adapt them, the event triggers and timing may not align perfectly with the 1st Edition rules. Stick with 2nd Edition for the intended experience, or be ready to house-rule the trigger conditions.
