Quick answer
The Ichiban Kuji Gakuen Idolmaster Part 5 Temari Tsukimura figure is a rare 1/7 scale prize from Bandai, ideal for collectors who want an authentic Japanese figure with detailed craftsmanship. Focus on verifying the prize tier, scale, and authenticity before purchase.
Understanding the Prize Tier
This figure is classified as Prize B and also serves as the Last One Prize in the Ichiban Kuji lottery system. Prize B figures are typically higher-quality than lower-tier prizes, offering better paint application and sculpting detail. The Last One Prize designation means the final ticket purchaser receives an exclusive variant or bonus, which can affect collectibility.
Scale and Display Considerations
At 8.58 inches (22 cm) tall, this is a 1/7 scale figure. Ensure your display shelf or case can accommodate this height, especially if you plan to group it with other 1/7 scale figures. The larger scale allows for more intricate details on Temari's costume and pose but requires more space than standard 1/8 or 1/10 scale figures.
Decision rules for buying this figure
- Verify the prize tier: Check that the figure is explicitly labeled as Prize B or Last One Prize from Ichiban Kuji Gakuen Idolmaster Part 5. Lower prizes (C, D, etc.) have simpler designs and less value. Prize B ensures higher sculpt and paint quality compared to lower-tier prizes.
- Confirm the scale: Look for the stated 1/7 scale and 22 cm height. If the listing omits scale or height, request clarification before buying to avoid mismatched proportions.
- Check authenticity markers: Authentic Ichiban Kuji figures include a Bandai logo, Ichiban Kuji hologram or sticker, and consistent packaging. Avoid figures with missing logos or noticeably cheaper packaging. Authentic figures from Japan retain higher value and detail accuracy.
- Assess the Last One Prize variant: If the figure is the Last One Prize, it may include an exclusive base or pose variant. Confirm with the seller which version you are purchasing. Last One variants can be rarer and more collectible.
