Quick Answer
Choose the Northern Diver Replica Jersey if you want a classic, officially licensed Loons look for Sunday games. Choose the Gradient Jersey if you want to celebrate the Copa de la Diversión with a bold, new design.
Design and Identity
The Northern Diver Replica Jersey is part of the official authentic collection and features the iconic Loons Jersey Wordmark logo. It's the go-to for traditional game-day gear.
The Gradient Jersey introduces the Los Pepinillos Picantes del Norte identity, 'The Spicy Pickles of the North,' with a brand-new Copa Replica design. It's a limited-edition way to show support for the Hispanic/Latino community during the Copa de la Diversión series.
Price and Value
Both jerseys are officially licensed by Wilson and are priced similarly, with the Northern Diver at $58.64 and the Gradient at $55.24. The Gradient Jersey offers a slight savings, but the choice really comes down to which design speaks to you.
Trade-Offs at a Glance
- Classic vs. Bold: The Northern Diver Replica Jersey gives you a timeless, officially licensed Loons look, while the Gradient Jersey makes a statement with the new Spicy Pickles identity. Consider how often you want to rep the traditional Loons logo versus a limited-edition design.
- Price Difference: The Gradient Jersey is about $3 cheaper, but both are similarly priced. The small savings may not be the deciding factor if you prefer the classic design. If budget is tight, the Gradient Jersey offers a slight edge.
- Community Connection: The Gradient Jersey is tied to the Copa de la Diversión, which celebrates Hispanic/Latino culture. If that resonates with you, it adds extra meaning beyond just the look. Think about whether the cultural significance matters to you.
