Quick Answer
To keep your Helluva Boss plushies like Moxxie and Millie looking their best, spot clean them with a mild detergent and air dry, avoiding machine washing for delicate details.
Why Gentle Care Matters for Your Helluva Boss Plushies
Plushies like the Moxxie Stickie (6in) feature detailed embroidery and printed designs that can be damaged by harsh washing. The Millie & Moxxie Monitor Buddiez are small (about 2.2 to 2.3 inches tall) and have intricate features like striped horns and suits, making them especially delicate.
Machine washing can cause stuffing to clump, fabric to pill, and printed graphics to fade or crack. Gentle hand cleaning preserves the plush's shape and keeps the character details sharp.
Step-by-Step Plush Cleaning Guide
- Check the tag: Look for any care instructions on the plush's tag. If there are none, treat it as delicate and proceed with gentle methods. Always assume delicate if no tag is present.
- Spot clean with mild detergent: Mix a small amount of mild detergent with cool water. Dip a soft cloth or cotton swab into the solution, wring it out well, and gently dab the soiled areas. Avoid saturating the fabric. Use minimal water to prevent internal moisture damage.
- Rinse with a damp cloth: Use a separate cloth dipped in plain cool water and wring it out thoroughly. Gently wipe over the areas you cleaned to remove any soap residue. Ensure the cloth is only slightly damp, not wet.
- Air dry completely: Place the plush in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Allow it to dry completely before handling or displaying. Never use a dryer or hair dryer, as heat can damage the fabric and details.
- Brush and fluff: Once dry, use a soft-bristled brush (like a clean toothbrush) to gently fluff the fabric and restore its texture. For small details, use a dry cotton swab. Brush in the direction of the fur to avoid matting.
