Quick Answer
Display your Genesys Prime 500 Collector's Boxset on a sturdy shelf or in a glass case, angled to show the gilded edges and certificate, while keeping it away from direct sunlight and humidity.
Why Displaying This Boxset Needs Extra Care
The Genesys Prime 500 Collector's Boxset is a limited edition of only 500 units, with gilded edges and a signed certificate of authenticity. Because the gilding is delicate, you need to display it in a way that protects the finish while still showing off the design.
Unlike a standard deck, this boxset includes multiple components — the numbered deck, the certificate, and the collector's box itself. Your display should let each element shine without risking scratches or fading.
Step-by-Step Display Process
- Choose a Safe Location: Pick a shelf or display case away from direct sunlight, heat vents, and high-humidity areas. Sunlight can fade the gilded edges and the certificate signatures over time. Check that the spot isn't near a window or air conditioner vent.
- Use a Display Stand or Easel: Place the boxset on an angled display stand or easel so the front cover and gilded edges are visible. Make sure the stand is wide enough to support the box's full weight to prevent tipping. Test the stand's stability before placing the boxset on it.
- Show the Certificate with the Box: Lay the signed certificate next to the boxset, or place it in a small frame if you want to protect it. This lets viewers see the authenticity without handling the certificate. If framing, use UV-protective glass to prevent fading.
- Avoid Stacking or Overcrowding: Keep other items at least a few inches away from the boxset to prevent accidental bumps or scratches. Do not stack anything on top of the box. Leave breathing room around the display to reduce risk of damage.
- Dust Regularly with a Soft Cloth: Use a microfiber cloth to gently dust the boxset and certificate. Avoid using cleaning sprays or water, as they can damage the gilding and paper. Dust every couple of weeks to keep the display looking fresh.
