Quick Answer

Replace your worn Nardi sticker with a new urethane dome sticker that fits directly over the old emblem. Clean the surface thoroughly and apply with firm, even pressure to avoid bubbles.

Why Replace the Nardi Emblem?

The Nardi 'chicklet' at the 6 o'clock position on your steering wheel takes constant contact from your hands. Over time, the original sticker fades, cracks, or peels. A fresh urethane dome sticker restores the OEM look without replacing the entire wheel.

Step-by-Step Installation

  1. 1. Remove the Old Sticker: Gently peel the old Nardi emblem using a plastic spudger or your fingernail. If it resists, warm it with a hair dryer on low for 10–15 seconds to soften the adhesive. Avoid metal tools that can scratch the wheel's finish.
  2. 2. Clean the Surface: Wipe the recessed area with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Remove all adhesive residue. Let the surface dry completely (about 2 minutes). Any leftover glue or oil will prevent the new sticker from bonding evenly.
  3. 3. Align the New Sticker: Peel the backing from the new urethane dome sticker. Position it over the 6 o'clock spot without touching the adhesive to the wheel yet. Use the wheel's center mark or spokes as a reference. Once the sticker touches the wheel, repositioning is difficult. Take your time aligning.
  4. 4. Apply Firm, Even Pressure: Press the sticker down from the center outward using your thumb or a soft rubber roller. Apply steady pressure for 10–15 seconds to ensure full adhesion. Work out any air bubbles as you go. A small bubble trapped under the dome will be visible.
  5. 5. Let It Cure: Allow the adhesive to set for at least 24 hours before handling the wheel aggressively. Avoid direct sunlight or extreme heat during this period. The sticker will bond fully after a day. Early use may lift the edges.
