What you need

Step-by-step replacement process
- 1. Remove the old top: Place the table upside down on a flat surface. Unsnap each corner of the fabric top from the frame legs. Work one corner at a time to avoid tangling the elastic cord. Check that the elastic cord is not twisted before you pull the top free.
- 2. Detach the corner fittings: Slide each plastic corner fitting out of the frame leg socket. The fittings are keyed to fit one way, so note their orientation if you plan to reuse them. On most Table One models the fittings stay attached to the old top. Do not force a fitting that seems stuck — rotate it slightly and it should release.
- 3. Attach the new top to the frame: Lay the new replacement top flat with the printed side facing up. Insert each corner fitting into its matching leg socket. Make sure the fabric lies smooth and the elastic cord is not twisted. The corners are labeled L and R on some versions; match them to the corresponding frame leg.
- 4. Snap the top into place: Snap each corner of the top over the frame leg. Start with two opposite corners, then do the remaining two. This keeps the fabric tension even and prevents wrinkles. If a snap does not close fully, the corner fitting may not be seated all the way — check the fitting before forcing the snap.
- 5. Test the table: Flip the table right side up. Press down on the center to confirm the top is taut and the frame legs are fully spread. Place a light load on it to verify stability before using it for a meal or stove. A loose top means a corner fitting is not fully engaged — repeat step 3 for that corner.
