Quick answer
Use the Reading Alien Bookmark as a playful, functional marker for any book. Its flexible metal clip fits snugly over pages, and its gold-tone alien design adds a quirky touch to your reading setup.
Why this bookmark works for style and function
The Reading Alien Bookmark is more than a novelty—it's a practical tool. Its sturdy, flexible metal construction bends to fit different page thicknesses, so it stays put without slipping. The compact 2.5-inch size makes it visible without overwhelming the page, and the gold tone adds a subtle shimmer that catches the eye.
How to style your Reading Alien Bookmark
- Choose your book: Select a book with a cover or spine that complements the gold tone—dark colors, space themes, or metallic accents work best. Avoid books with very thick covers that may strain the clip.
- Position the clip: Slide the bookmark over the top edge of the page you're reading. The flexible metal clip should grip the page firmly without bending out of shape. Don't force it—if the clip feels too tight, adjust the angle slightly.
- Angle the alien face outward: Rotate the bookmark so the alien face points outward from the book. This makes it easy to spot on a shelf or desk. If the face faces inward, it may get hidden when the book is closed.
- Use as a page marker for multiple spots: For books with multiple sections (like anthologies or textbooks), clip the bookmark at the start of the current section. The compact size won't obscure text. Avoid using it as a page holder for open books—it's designed for marking, not holding pages flat.
- Pair with other book accessories: Combine the Reading Alien Bookmark with a matching book sleeve, reading journal, or alien-themed pin for a cohesive look. Don't overload the book with too many accessories—it can damage the spine.
- Display when not in use: Store the bookmark on a small stand, in a dish, or clipped to a bulletin board. The gold tone and alien design make it a decorative piece. Keep it away from moisture to preserve the metal finish.
