Quick Answer
Apply TRANSTAPE Removal Oil generously to the edges of the tape, wait a few minutes, then gently peel the tape away. This oil is designed to break down the adhesive while nourishing your skin.
Why Use a Dedicated Removal Oil?
Pulling tape off dry can irritate skin and leave sticky residue. A dedicated adhesive removal oil dissolves the glue so the tape lifts away with less friction. TRANSTAPE Removal Oil uses 100% pure jojoba oil, which not only helps remove the tape but also supports skin repair and health.
Trade-Offs and Exceptions
Oil-based removers can leave a slight residue on the skin. You may want to wash the area with mild soap and water after removal. If you have very sensitive skin or open wounds, test the oil on a small patch first and avoid applying it to broken skin.
Step-by-Step Removal Process
- Apply the oil generously: Squeeze a generous amount of TRANSTAPE Removal Oil along the edges of the tape. Make sure the oil seeps under the adhesive edge. Don't skimp on oil—dry edges make removal harder and more irritating.
- Wait for the adhesive to soften: Let the oil sit for 2–5 minutes. This gives the jojoba oil time to break down the adhesive bond. Rushing this step can cause skin pulling; patience pays off.
- Peel the tape slowly: Starting at a corner, peel the tape back slowly and at a low angle, keeping it close to the skin. Add more oil if you feel resistance. If it hurts, stop and add more oil—never yank the tape off.
- Clean and moisturize the skin: After the tape is off, wash the area with mild soap and water to remove any oily residue. Pat dry and apply a light moisturizer if needed. Cleaning prevents clogged pores; moisturizing supports skin recovery.
