Quick answer
For most concealed carry users, the Incog X Holster for Walther PDP nonlight offers the best balance of deep concealment, multi-position carry, and compatibility. The light-bearing version adds weapon-light support at the cost of slightly more bulk and fewer carry positions.
Concealment profile vs. light support
The nonlight Incog X Holster is designed for deep concealment with its slim profile, making it easier to hide under light clothing. It also supports multiple carry positions (appendix, strong-side, cross-draw) due to its compact footprint. The light-bearing model adds a weapon-light channel, which increases overall holster width and may limit carry positions to appendix or strong-side only, depending on the light size.
Compatibility and versatility
The nonlight version fits the Walther PDP (nonlight, gun only) and is compatible with a range of handgun fits from various carry positions. This makes it a versatile choice if you switch between different PDP models or want to try different carry styles. The light-bearing model is more specialized—it requires a specific weapon light (e.g., SureFire X300, Streamlight TLR-1) and may not fit all PDP variants, reducing its flexibility.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Incog X for PDP Nonlight: Best for deep concealment; supports multiple carry positions (appendix, strong-side, cross-draw); compatible with a wide range of handgun fits; no weapon-light channel. Choose this if you prioritize concealment and versatility over weapon-light support.
- Incog X for PDP with Light: Adds a weapon-light channel for lights like SureFire X300 or Streamlight TLR-1; slightly bulkier; may limit carry positions to appendix or strong-side; fewer PDP variant fits. Choose this if you must carry a weapon light and accept reduced concealment and position options.
- Key Decision Factor: If you rarely use a weapon light or want the most concealable and versatile holster, go nonlight. If you always carry a light and can tolerate extra bulk, the light-bearing version works.
