Quick Answer
To keep your Infinity Yoga Mat Pink Ribbon performing well, unbox it flat, clean it gently before first use, and store it rolled loosely away from heat and sunlight.
Why the Pink Ribbon Edition Deserves a Little Extra Care
The Infinity Yoga Mat Pink Ribbon is a special edition made in collaboration with Hugger Mugger & Yoga Design Lab to support Susan G. Komen. Beyond its meaningful design, it offers a supportive cushioned base, durable construction, and reliable grip for yoga, Pilates, and strength workouts.
Because the mat has a cushioned core, it can be more prone to creasing if folded or stored tightly. Taking a few minutes to set it up properly helps maintain its flat surface and grip over time.
Step-by-Step: Unbox, Clean, and Store Your Infinity Mat
- Unbox and unroll flat: Remove the mat from its packaging and lay it flat on a clean, dry surface. If it arrives rolled, let it sit flat for a few hours to relax. Checkpoint: If the mat still has curled edges, roll it in the opposite direction for 30 minutes, then lay flat again.
- Clean before first use: Wipe the entire surface with a soft cloth dampened with water and a mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbers that can damage the grip. Checkpoint: Rinse the cloth thoroughly so no soap residue remains, which can make the mat slippery.
- Dry completely: Hang the mat over a rack or lay it flat on a towel to air dry. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heaters, which can dry out the material. Checkpoint: Never roll up a damp mat—moisture can lead to odor and breakdown of the cushioning.
- Store rolled loosely: Roll the mat with the top surface facing out (or as indicated by the manufacturer) and secure it with the strap or band provided. Store it upright or flat, not folded. Checkpoint: Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the rolled mat to preserve its shape.
- Maintain grip during use: If the mat feels slippery, wipe it with a damp cloth and let it dry before practice. For a deeper clean, use a dedicated yoga mat cleaner sparingly. Checkpoint: Test any cleaner on a small corner first to ensure it doesn't affect the pink design.
