Before you peel any tape: fitment and surface checks

This 14-piece kit is listed for 2024 and newer Jeep Wrangler JL and Gladiator JT four-door models. The same model can have different specifications in different countries, so compare the parts in the product pictures with your own center console and gear shift area before ordering. If anything looks different, contact the seller before you buy.

Once the kit arrives, do a dry test-fit of each piece without removing the adhesive backing. The pieces should sit flat and follow the console contours. If a piece rocks or overlaps a seam, stop and check the placement before sticking it down.

What the kit includes and what it is made of

Installation steps for the center console trim

The kit uses 3M adhesive backing, so you can install it yourself without professional tools. Work in a clean, dry area and take your time with the test-fit before committing each piece.

  1. Step 1: Clean the installation area: Wipe the console surface thoroughly and let it dry completely. Dust or moisture under the tape will weaken the bond.
  2. Step 2: Peel the backing: Remove the backing from the self-adhesive on one piece at a time. Starting with one piece keeps the others protected until you are ready.
  3. Step 3: Warm the adhesive in cold weather: If the temperature is below 15°C (59°F), warm the adhesive with a heat gun or hairdryer to improve bonding. Keep the heat moving and do not overheat the plastic.
  4. Step 4: Press firmly: After placing each piece, press it firmly for 2–3 minutes to ensure a secure bond.
  5. Step 5: Keep it dry for 48 hours: Leave the installed area dry for the first 48 hours. Avoid wiping it down or exposing it to moisture during this curing window.

Color choices and how they change the look

The kit comes in Red, Black Carbon Fiber, Red Carbon Fiber, Orange, Purple, Pink, and White. A carbon-fiber finish can blend with darker interiors, while Red or Orange adds a clear accent against black plastic. Pick a color that matches or deliberately contrasts with your existing interior trim, and consider how much visual attention you want the console area to get.

Removal and long-term care

The adhesive can be removed if needed and is described as leaving no residue behind. If you plan to change colors later, peel slowly and keep the area clean. For routine care, wipe the ABS covers with a damp cloth after the 48-hour dry period. The material is listed as weather and impact resistant, but avoiding harsh solvents will help the finish last.
