Quick answer

JOTOYS blind box series offer a mix of character themes, material types, and rarity odds. Start by choosing a series you love, then buy one box at a time to manage costs and avoid duplicates.

What makes JOTOYS series different

JOTOYS blind boxes come in multiple series, each with 9 regular characters and 1 secret figure. The odds for a regular are 1 in 9, and for a secret 1 in 108. This means you have a fair chance to complete the set without buying dozens of boxes, but the secret remains a rare find.

Material and craftsmanship notes

Most JOTOYS figures are made from PVC or ABS plastic. Some series, like the Ukio City Pages, use hand-implanted hair, which may shed loose fibers. This is normal and not a defect, but it's something to be aware of if you prefer a completely smooth finish.

How to start collecting JOTOYS blind boxes

  1. Pick a series you like: Choose a JOTOYS series based on theme, character design, or material. For example, if you enjoy hand-crafted details, the Ukio City Pages series may appeal to you. Check the series description for material notes to avoid surprises.
  2. Buy one box first: Purchase a single blind box to see the figure quality and size in person. This helps you decide if the series is worth collecting further. Common mistake: Buying multiple boxes at once can lead to duplicates.
  3. Track your collection: Keep a list of which regulars you have. Since the odds for a secret are 1 in 108, you may want to trade or buy singles instead of chasing it blindly. Use a simple notebook or app to avoid buying the same figure twice.
