Quick answer
Choose KF B03 Black Pepper Mint if you want a bold, peppery-herbal blend with larger 1g bags for a full pot. Choose KF B02 Holy Basil if you prefer a milder, lemongrass-sweet basil tea with more servings per box.
Flavor and ingredient differences
KF B03 Black Pepper Mint blend combines lemongrass, black pepper mint, and mint marigold. The black pepper mint adds a warm, slightly spicy note that sets it apart from typical mint teas. KF B02 Holy Basil blend uses lemongrass and holy basil (tulsi), offering a floral, herbaceous taste that is more subtle and calming.
Both teas are caffeine-free and made in Japan (Shiga Prefecture). The freeze-dried process preserves the essential oils and fresh flavor of the herbs.
Bag count and serving size
KF B03 comes in a box of 6 bags, each containing 1g of tea leaves. This is designed for a single 380ml pot serving (hot or iced). KF B02 comes with 10 bags, each 0.5g, for a smaller 190ml cup. If you drink tea by the pot, KF B03 is more efficient; if you prefer single cups, KF B02 gives more servings per box.
The brewing instructions differ: KF B03 recommends 5 minutes for hot tea and 10 minutes for iced, while KF B02 suggests similar steeping times but with half the water volume.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Flavor intensity: KF B03 Black Pepper Mint is bold and peppery-minty; KF B02 Holy Basil is milder and floral.
- Servings per box: KF B03 gives 6 pot-sized servings; KF B02 gives 10 cup-sized servings. If you drink tea by the pot, KF B03 lasts longer per brew. If you drink single cups, KF B02 stretches further.
- Brewing convenience: KF B03 requires 380ml water and 5 min (hot) or 10 min (iced). KF B02 uses 190ml water and similar times. KF B03 is better for sharing or a larger drink; KF B02 is quicker for a single portion.
