Quick answer
Choose the Noble Khan custom fit for unmatched isolation and a personalized fit, or the universal version for convenience and the ability to share your IEMs. Your choice depends on whether you prioritize acoustic seal or flexibility.
Sound Signature: Same Tri-Level Hybrid Technology
Both the custom fit and universal Khan models use the same Tri-Level Hybrid Technology, delivering a sound signature that balances deep, thunderous bass with crisp highs. The Wizard designed this to descend from the lineage of the Kaiser 10 and Encore, offering a cohesive experience regardless of fit type.
Comfort and Isolation: The Custom Fit Advantage
A custom fit IEM is molded to your ear canal, providing superior noise isolation and comfort for long listening sessions. This seal also enhances bass response and detail retrieval by blocking external noise. The universal version uses standard ear tips, which may not achieve the same level of isolation but are easier to insert and remove.
Value and Accessibility: Demo Unit Option
The Noble Khan demo unit offers a more affordable entry point at a lower price. These units are used but in good condition and come with a carry case, cable, and ear tips, but not full packaging. This is a great way to experience the Khan sound at a discount, though you miss the custom fit experience.
Decision Rules
- Prioritize isolation and fit: If you need maximum noise isolation and a personalized fit for long studio or travel sessions, choose the custom fit Khan. Expect a higher upfront cost and longer wait for production.
- Value convenience and sharing: If you want to share your IEMs with others or prefer the ease of standard ear tips, the universal Khan is your choice. You lose some isolation but gain flexibility.
- Budget-friendly entry: If you want the Khan sound at a lower price and are okay with a used unit, consider the demo unit. Check condition and compatibility with your ear tips before purchase.
