Two Henshin Cyborg–Inspired Figures, Two Different Play Patterns
Both the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Super Cyborg Krang Android and the G.I. Joe Super Cyborg S.N.A.K.E. Armor draw on the vintage Japanese Henshin Cyborg format: an outer shell that opens to show the figure inside. That shared idea makes them natural shelf neighbors, but they differ in how much they reveal, what they include, and what they cost. This comparison sticks to the supplied catalog evidence so you can match each figure to your display and budget.
What Opens Up on Each Figure
-
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Super Cyborg - Krang Android (Full Color): The Krang Android figure has a removable chest plate that reveals its inner workings, including a removable Krang figure. If you want a visible inner character as part of the display, Krang’s chest plate gives you a clear focal point.

-
G.I. Joe Super Cyborg - S.N.A.K.E. Armor (Full Color - Gray): The S.N.A.K.E. Armor figure has four removable plates that reveal the inner workings and the Cobra Trooper operating it. More removable plates mean more ways to stage the figure, but also more pieces to keep track of when you open it up.

Accessories and Display Footprint
Accessories change how much variety you get on the shelf. The Krang Android comes with multiple interchangeable hands, while the S.N.A.K.E. Armor includes four weapon pod accessories. Both figures are described as 11” in the supplied records, so they share the same stated height; plan shelf space around that measurement rather than assuming one is taller.
- Krang Android accessories: Multiple interchangeable hands let you change the pose without adding separate weapons.
- S.N.A.K.E. Armor accessories: Interchangeable flame thrower, missile launcher, machine gun, and power claw weapon pods give you several distinct looks.
- Display size: Both are listed at 11” tall, so the main difference is depth and how far the opened plates or weapon pods extend, not overall height.
Price and Value: What the Catalog Shows
At catalog prices, the Krang Android is listed at USD 56.95 against a comparison price of USD 85.00, while the S.N.A.K.E. Armor is listed at USD 86.25 against a comparison price of USD 125.00. The S.N.A.K.E. Armor costs more, but it also includes four weapon pods and four removable plates. The Krang Android costs less and centers on a single removable chest plate and a removable Krang figure. Neither figure’s supplied record confirms a specific age rating, so check the packaging or product page for that detail before buying for a child.
Shared Format and Character Crossover
- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Super Cyborg - Krang Android (Full Color): The Krang Android is part of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Super Cyborg line, inspired by the vintage Japanese Henshin Cyborg toys. If your collection leans toward TMNT villains, this figure fits that theme directly.
- G.I. Joe Super Cyborg - S.N.A.K.E. Armor (Full Color - Gray): The S.N.A.K.E. Armor is a G.I. Joe Super Cyborg figure tied to Cobra’s M.A.S.S. device storyline. If you collect G.I. Joe or Cobra items, this figure connects to that lore and display theme.
How to Choose Between Them
- Pick Krang Android if…: You want a lower-cost entry into the Super Cyborg format, prefer a single removable chest plate, and like the idea of revealing a removable Krang figure inside.
- Pick S.N.A.K.E. Armor if…: You want more opening options (four removable plates) and a heavier accessory load with four weapon pods, and the higher catalog price fits your budget.
- Check before you buy either: The supplied records do not list an age range or specific care instructions. Confirm those details on the product page or packaging if they matter for your household.
