Quick Answer

Yes, the Leafeon VSTAR PSA 10 from VSTAR Universe is a strong addition to any Eeveelution or PSA 10 Japanese Pokemon card collection. Its SAR artwork and PSA 10 grade make it a standout piece, though you should be aware of potential minor imperfections even in graded examples.

What Makes the Leafeon VSTAR SAR Special?

The Leafeon VSTAR from the Japanese VSTAR Universe set features a Special Art Rare (SAR) treatment, which means the card has a full-art illustration that extends to the edges. This particular card showcases Leafeon in a natural, forest-themed setting, capturing the attention of both Pokemon fans and art collectors.

Japanese Pokemon cards are known for their higher print quality and tighter quality control compared to English releases, which is one reason collectors often prefer them. A PSA 10 grade on a Japanese card indicates it has near-perfect centering, corners, and surface, making it a desirable addition to a graded collection.

Understanding the PSA 10 Premium

A PSA 10 grade means the card is in 'Gem Mint' condition, which is the highest grade PSA offers. This grade significantly increases the card's value and desirability. However, it's important to note that even PSA 10 cards can have minor imperfections such as small edge whitening, print lines, or foil seams from the manufacturing process. This is a reality of the grading process, and it's something to keep in mind when you're paying a premium for a PSA 10.

The Leafeon VSTAR PSA 10 is priced at USD 131.99, compared to a catalog comparison price of USD 197.00. This price reflects the card's rarity and popularity, but it's also a good value for collectors who want a guaranteed high-grade card without having to buy raw cards and gamble on grading.

Is It a Good Investment?

While no card is a guaranteed investment, PSA 10 Japanese Pokemon cards have historically held their value well, especially those featuring popular Pokemon like Leafeon and the Eeveelution family. The VSTAR Universe set is also a high-demand set, which helps maintain the card's value over time.

If you're a fan of Eeveelutions, a PSA 10 Leafeon VSTAR is a must-have for your collection. Its unique SAR artwork and high grade make it a centerpiece that you can enjoy for years to come.
