Quick answer

The Libertalia Loot Tile Promo Pack adds 7 double-sided loot tiles to your Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest game, with separate versions for solo play. Setup takes just a minute once you know the steps.

Why add promo loot tiles?

These tiles expand the loot pool without changing core rules. Each tile has a different effect on one side and a solo-play variant on the reverse. Because the pack requires the Libertalia core game, you already know the basic loot-tile rules — the promo tiles simply add variety.

Trade-off: more loot, more decisions

The new tiles introduce additional strategic choices during the loot phase. If your group prefers streamlined play, you can keep the promo tiles in the box for later sessions. They work best when players are comfortable with the core loot-tile interactions.

How to set up and use the Libertalia Loot Tile Promo Pack

  1. 1. Confirm you have the core game: The promo pack only works with Libertalia: Winds of Galecrest. Open the core box and remove the existing loot tiles. Do not mix promo tiles with a different game edition — they are not compatible.
  2. 2. Choose your play mode: For multiplayer (2–6 players), use the side marked with the tile effect. For solo play, flip the tile to the solo variant side. Each tile has a distinct icon to tell the two sides apart. Check the icon on the tile before shuffling — using the wrong side changes the game balance.
  3. 3. Shuffle and add to the loot deck: Combine the 7 promo tiles with the core game’s loot tiles. Shuffle the full deck face-down. Do not look at the tile faces during setup. If you prefer a smaller loot pool, remove a few core tiles instead of adding the promo tiles — the deck size affects game length.
  4. 4. Play the loot phase as usual: During the loot phase, draw tiles from the top of the deck. Resolve each tile’s effect immediately. The promo tiles follow the same timing and rules as core loot tiles. Read the tile text aloud the first time — some promo effects may be unfamiliar to other players.
  5. 5. Store tiles for next game: After the game, return all tiles to the promo pack’s bag or a separate compartment. Keeping them with the core box helps avoid loss. Double-sided tiles can be stored with the core loot tiles, but separate storage makes it easier to remove them if you want a vanilla game later.
