Quick answer
If you already own Neverborn, Bayou, Outcast, or Arcanist models from earlier Malifaux editions, the matching Fourth Edition Faction Pack is the most affordable way to update your rules without rebuying miniatures.
What each Faction Pack contains
Each Fourth Edition Faction Pack is a card-only update. It includes Fourth Edition stat cards for every model in that faction plus two copies of every Crew Card for each Keyword. No miniatures, no rulebook — just the cards you need to play your existing collection in the current edition.
The packs are priced between $15.50 and $16.75, a significant saving compared to buying individual card packs or a full faction book if you only need the cards.
Which pack is right for your collection
The decision is simple: pick the pack that matches the faction of the models you already own. If you have a mixed collection spanning multiple factions, you will need a separate pack for each faction.
The Neverborn Faction Pack is the least expensive at $15.50, while the Bayou, Outcast, and Arcanist packs are $16.75 each. The price difference reflects the number of cards in each pack, not a quality difference.
How to choose your Faction Pack
- Identify your faction: Look at the faction symbol on your existing model stat cards or crew boxes. Each Faction Pack covers one faction only.
- Check your model count: If you own models from multiple factions, you need a separate pack for each. A single pack only updates one faction's cards. Buying two packs is still cheaper than replacing the miniatures.
- Consider the price difference: The Neverborn pack costs $15.50, while Bayou, Outcast, and Arcanist packs cost $16.75. The price reflects the number of cards, not a different format. If you are on a tight budget and play Neverborn, that pack saves you $1.25.

Who should buy a Faction Pack
Best for
- Existing Malifaux players who own models from Neverborn, Bayou, Outcasts, or Arcanists and want to play Fourth Edition without buying new miniatures.
- Players who prefer physical cards over digital rules and want a complete, organized set for their faction.
Not for
- New players who do not yet own any Malifaux models — a starter box or crew box is a better entry point.
- Players who only need rules for a single crew rather than an entire faction — individual card packs may be more economical.
