Quick answer
The Moonrakers Dark Matter micro-expansion adds new contracts, crew, ship parts, and a new card type called Dark Matter, giving players more strategic options without overhauling the base game.
Why the Dark Matter card type matters
The new Dark Matter card type is the standout feature of this expansion. It introduces a fresh layer of decision-making, as these cards can be played in ways that interact with your crew and ship parts. This means you'll need to adjust your strategy mid-game, making each session feel less predictable.
What you get in the box
The expansion includes 35 cards plus sleeves, which is a compact but meaningful addition. The new contracts, crew, and ship parts are designed to slot into your existing Moonrakers games, so you can mix them with your current setup without needing to learn a whole new rulebook.
How it fits with other Moonrakers expansions
If you already own other Moonrakers micro-expansions, Dark Matter integrates seamlessly. The new cards are compatible with the base game and other expansions, so you can combine them for a richer experience. However, if you're new to Moonrakers, you might want to play the base game a few times before adding this layer of complexity.
