Quick Answer
Choose the NEO S Purple Wave if you want the lower price and a vivid, game-inspired look; pick the Linkin Park edition if the band's artwork matters more to you. Both deliver the same 5-fret Fortnite Festival experience.
Same core, different personality
Both the NEO S Purple Wave and the Linkin Park edition are built around the same detachable 5-fret attachment, so the way you play Fortnite Festival is identical. The difference comes down to the visual design and the price tag.
If you're torn between the two, think about what you value more: a lower upfront cost or a design that speaks to your taste in music and gaming culture.
Price and value
The Purple Wave edition is listed at $35.99, while the Linkin Park edition costs $38.39. That's a $2.40 difference, which is small but might matter if you're on a tight budget or planning to buy multiple controllers for local play.
Both are marked down from a $59.99 comparison price, so you're getting a similar level of discount either way.
Trade-Offs to Consider
- Artwork preference: The Purple Wave uses game-inspired colors; the Linkin Park edition has band-specific art. Choose the one that resonates more with your style.
- Price difference: The Purple Wave is $2.40 cheaper. If you're indifferent to the artwork, save the money and go with Purple Wave. Check the current price before ordering—discounts can change.
