Quick Answer
If you're a Mihono Bourbon fan who wants a faithful, special-edition figure without the premium price, the POP UP PARADE SP Mihono Bourbon figure is a strong pick—just know it's a branch of the standard line, so expect a few surprises rather than a scaled-up version.
What Makes POP UP PARADE SP Different
The POP UP PARADE SP series is a special branch of the regular POP UP PARADE lineup. According to Good Smile US, it 'transcends the boundaries' of the standard line with special surprises. That means this isn't just another scale figure—it's designed to stand out in a way the standard POP UP PARADE figures don't.
For Mihono Bourbon, the focus is on faithfully capturing her exquisite design. If you're a fan of the character's sleek, athletic look, this figure aims to deliver that in a compact, affordable format.
Trade-Off: SP vs. Standard POP UP PARADE
The main trade-off is that SP figures may not follow the same size or accessory rules as the standard POP UP PARADE line. You're paying for a 'special surprise' rather than a guaranteed larger scale or extra parts. If you're expecting a standard POP UP PARADE figure with just a different pose, you might be surprised—in a good way or not.
Also, because this is a special edition, it might be harder to find later. If you're on the fence, it's worth deciding before it sells out.
Decision Rules for Buying the POP UP PARADE SP Mihono Bourbon Figure
- Are you a Mihono Bourbon fan?: If you love the character and want a figure that faithfully captures her design, this is a yes. If you're a casual fan, consider whether the special edition premium is worth it. Check if you already own other Mihono Bourbon merchandise to avoid duplicates.
- Do you prefer standard POP UP PARADE consistency?: If you collect the standard line for its uniform size and style, the SP series might feel different. If you're open to surprises, go for it. Compare with a standard POP UP PARADE figure you own to see if the size difference matters.
- Is the price within your budget?: The catalog price is USD 54.75, with a comparison price of USD 73.99. If you're comfortable with that, it's a reasonable deal. If not, wait for a sale or consider standard figures. Set a price alert if you're not ready to buy now.
