Installation steps
- 1. Position the C-Clamp base: Place the C-Clamp base on your chosen surface so the clamp jaws extend over the edge. Tighten the knob underneath until the base is firmly attached and does not wobble. Check that the surface is clean and dry before clamping. Over-tightening can damage thin surfaces; stop when the base feels solid.
- 2. Attach the 7-inch pedestal post: Insert the post into the base socket until it clicks into place. The post should stand straight and rotate freely in the socket. If it feels loose, double-check that the locking ring is fully engaged. The post must lock with an audible click; a loose post can cause instability.
- 3. Mount your AMPS-pattern device holder: Align the four-hole AMPS pattern on your RAM dock or passive holder with the top plate of the pedestal. Secure it with the included screws and tighten them evenly with a screwdriver. Do not overtighten as it may strip the threads. Use the supplied screws only; longer screws can damage the holder or pedestal.
- 4. Adjust the viewing angle: Loosen the tilt and swivel knobs slightly, position your device to the desired angle, then retighten the knobs. Test the movement by gently rotating and tilting the holder to ensure it stays put when released. If the holder drifts after tightening, the knobs may need a quarter-turn more—but avoid forcing past resistance.
