Quick answer

Yes, a rechargeable silent mouse like the TECKNET MS009 is worth it for most office workers because it eliminates battery swaps, reduces click noise by 90%, and offers long battery life with rapid charging.

Myth: Rechargeable mice run out of power at the worst moment

A common worry is that a rechargeable mouse will die mid-task and leave you scrambling for a cable. The TECKNET MS009 addresses this with a built-in 700 mAh battery that charges rapidly: just 5 minutes of charging gives you a full day of use. On a full charge, it lasts up to 90 days, so daily charging is unnecessary.

Myth: Silent mice feel mushy or unresponsive

Some users assume that a silent click means sacrificing tactile feedback. The MS009 reduces click sound by 90% while maintaining a responsive, comfortable click feel. This makes it suitable for both focused work and extended use without disturbing nearby colleagues.

Trade-off: No replaceable batteries vs. convenience

Unlike AA-battery mice, a rechargeable model has a non-replaceable battery. However, the MS009's battery is designed for years of daily use, and the convenience of never buying or swapping batteries often outweighs this limitation for office users who keep the mouse on their desk.

Verdicts on common claims

Battery life claim: 90 days on one charge: True based on supplied catalog facts. The 700 mAh battery supports up to 90 days of typical use, and a 5-minute charge provides a full day of power.
Noise reduction claim: 90% quieter clicks: True based on supplied facts. The MS009 reduces click sound by 90%, making it genuinely silent enough for shared office environments.
Ergonomic comfort claim: The catalog describes the MS009 as ergonomic, but no specific dimensions or grip details are provided. It is likely suitable for average-sized hands, but users with very large or small hands may want to test it first. If you have specific ergonomic needs, check the mouse dimensions before purchasing.
