Quick answer

Neither RER14303 nor RER12630 is a drive shaft. RER14303 is a set of six 2.5x8mm button head screws for Caprice Classic, SixtyFive, SixtyFour, and SixtyThree vehicles. RER12630 is a pair of rock sliders for the WENDIGO. Choose based on your vehicle and the part you actually need.

Why these parts are often confused with drive shafts

RC enthusiasts searching for a drive shaft replacement may land on RER14303 or RER12630 because of part-number similarity or vague listings. However, neither component is a rotating shaft. RER14303 is a hardware fastener, and RER12630 is an exterior protection piece. Knowing this saves you from ordering the wrong part.

Trade-offs at a glance

  • RER14303 – Button Head Screw Set: Six 2.5x8mm screws for Caprice Classic, SixtyFive, SixtyFour, and SixtyThree. Use when you need to replace lost or stripped body screws on those models. Not a drive shaft; verify your fastener size before ordering.
  • RER12630 – Rock Sliders (Pair): One pair of rock sliders for the WENDIGO. On clearance pricing. Use when you need underbody protection for your WENDIGO. Not a drive shaft; confirm your vehicle is a WENDIGO before purchasing.
  • Neither is a drive shaft: If you specifically need a drive shaft for a Redcat vehicle, look for parts labeled as drive shafts, CVDs, or axles. RER14303 and RER12630 serve different purposes. Always double-check the part category and description before buying.
