Step-by-step replacement guide
- 1. Power off and prepare: Turn off the solar light switch or press the button on the battery case to cut power. Remove the lights from the socket if you can bring them to a worktable. Working with power on risks short circuits. Leave the panel under shade to prevent automatic on.
- 2. Remove the broken bulb: Gently twist the broken bulb counterclockwise and pull it out of the holder. If glass is shattered, wear gloves and use pliers to grip the metal base. Avoid twisting the holder itself. Never force a stuck bulb. If it won’t turn, spray a little lubricant around the base and wait a minute.
- 3. Insert the new spare bulb: Take the new Hoselink spare glass bulb and push it straight into the holder until it stops. Then turn it clockwise until it locks. Do not overtighten. You should feel a slight click or resistance. If the bulb wobbles, it is not seated correctly.
