Quick Answer
Yes, if you want to keep your cards in good condition through repeated shuffling and play. The official Robot Quest Arena Sleeves are a snug, clear fit for standard playing cards.
Why Sleeve Your Cards?
Robot Quest Arena cards see a lot of handling. Over time, edges can fray and surfaces can scuff, especially if you play with snacks or on textured tables. Sleeves add a thin layer of protection that extends the life of your deck without changing the feel of the cards.
What If You Skip Sleeves?
Unsleeved cards will still work fine for casual play. The main trade-off is visible wear after many games. If you plan to resell the game or keep it as a collector's item, sleeves are a cheap way to preserve condition.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do these sleeves fit Robot Quest Arena cards?
Yes. Robot Quest Arena cards are standard playing card size (63mm x 88mm), and these sleeves measure 67mm x 92mm, leaving a small margin for easy insertion.
How many packs do I need for a full game?
Robot Quest Arena comes with about 180 cards. A single 50-sleeve pack covers roughly a quarter of the deck. For full coverage, you'll need 4 packs (200 sleeves). Check the Sleeve Counts spreadsheet for exact counts if you also sleeve expansions. Buy 4 packs to sleeve the entire base game.
Are they glossy or matte?
Glossy on both sides. This helps cards slide easily against each other when shuffling, but they can be a bit slippery if you're used to matte sleeves.
Do they protect against spills?
The PVC material is water-resistant, so a quick wipe can save a card from a drink splash. They are not waterproof—submerging or prolonged exposure can still damage the card inside. Wipe spills immediately; don't soak the sleeve.
