Quick Answer
Root Beer Tapper for ColecoVision is a faithful arcade port that delivers the same fast-paced tapping action, but its high price tag makes it a collector's piece rather than a casual pickup.
Why the Price Is High
The Root Beer Tapper Colecovision game is listed at $125.80, with a catalog comparison price of $185.00. That's a significant investment for a single cart. The price reflects its rarity and demand among retro collectors, not just its gameplay. If you're on a budget, you might find cheaper alternatives, but this is a genuine piece of arcade history.
What to Expect From the Port
As a port of the classic arcade game, Root Beer Tapper on ColecoVision captures the core loop: slide mugs, catch tips, and avoid spills. The controls are responsive, though the ColecoVision controller's keypad is not ideal for the rapid direction changes. You'll want to use a joystick or a compatible controller for the best experience.
