Quick answer

To keep your SPRAYGROUND® shark backpack looking new, spot-clean printed areas with a damp cloth, avoid machine washing, and store it in a cool, dry place. The ANGELICA SHARK model's nylon zippers and mesh backing need gentle care to stay functional.

Why printed backpacks need special care

Heat, friction, and harsh detergents can crack or fade the bold shark graphic that makes these bags stand out. The ANGELICA SHARK's printed design is a key feature, so treating it gently preserves the look you bought it for.

The nylon zippers and metal hardware on SPRAYGROUND® backpacks are durable, but they can corrode or snag if you soak the bag or use abrasive cleaners. A little prevention goes a long way.

How to clean and maintain your shark backpack

  1. Empty and shake out debris: Turn the backpack upside down and shake out crumbs, sand, or dust. Open all zippers (front pocket, side pockets, main compartment) and remove any loose dirt. This prevents grit from scratching the printed surface during cleaning. Check the zippered stash pocket and side pockets—small items often hide there and can snag fabric when you start cleaning.
  2. Spot-clean printed areas with a damp cloth: Dip a soft microfiber cloth in cool water and wring it out until barely damp. Gently blot the shark graphic and any printed design. Do NOT rub vigorously—rubbing can lift the ink. For stubborn spots, add a drop of mild dish soap to the cloth, then rinse with a clean damp cloth. Never use bleach, alcohol, or stain removers on printed areas. They will fade or peel the graphic.
  3. Clean the interior and mesh back padding: Mix a few drops of mild detergent with cool water in a bowl. Dip a soft brush or cloth into the solution, wring it out, and gently scrub the mesh back padding and interior fabric. Wipe with a cloth dampened with plain water to remove soap residue. Let the bag air dry completely with all compartments open. Don't soak the padding—excess moisture can seep into the foam and cause odor or mildew. A damp wipe is enough.
  4. Dry and store properly: Hang the backpack in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or heat sources. Sunlight can fade the printed graphics, and high heat can warp the nylon zippers or metal hardware. Once fully dry (24-48 hours), store the bag in a cool, dry place, preferably stuffed with acid-free tissue paper to hold its shape. Avoid folding or crushing the bag during storage—creases can crack the printed shark design over time.

Product facts

  • ANGELICA SHARK: The ANGELICA SHARK has nylon zippers with metal hardware, ergonomic mesh back padding, and a separate laptop compartment. The mesh padding traps sweat and dirt, so you'll want to clean it with a mild soap solution rather than machine washing, which can break down the foam. The metal badge and zippers should be dried promptly to avoid tarnishing.
