Quick answer

Choose Super Sailor Moon if you want the taller figure at a lower price and don't mind a fully sealed 2015 release with possible minor box wear. Choose Eternal Sailor Moon if you prefer the more recent 2022 release and a slightly more compact figure, and you're willing to pay more for it. Both are pre-owned S.H.Figuarts figures from Bandai, so inspect condition details before buying.

What the catalog tells you about each figure

The Super Sailor Moon figure (product ID 553671) was released in 2015 and stands approximately 5.66 inches tall. Its box measures about 6 x 7 x 2.5 inches. The catalog notes a fully sealed box, though as pre-owned merchandise it may have minor shelf damage. The Eternal Sailor Moon figure (product ID 553673) was released in 2022 and is approximately 5.27 inches tall. Its box is about 6 x 7.5 x 2.5 inches and is described as slightly damaged. Both are second-hand items, so condition can vary beyond what's listed.

Price and value: what you pay vs. what you get

Super Sailor Moon is priced at USD 38.07, compared to a catalog comparison price of USD 55.99. Eternal Sailor Moon is priced at USD 47.51, compared to a comparison price of USD 71.99. Both offer savings off the comparison price, but Super Sailor Moon costs less overall. If budget is your main concern, Super Sailor Moon leaves more room for other purchases. If you prioritize a more recent release, Eternal Sailor Moon justifies its higher price through its 2022 production year.

Size, shelf presence, and display fit

At 5.66 inches, Super Sailor Moon is slightly taller than Eternal Sailor Moon at 5.27 inches. That difference is small but noticeable when displayed side by side. If you plan to group them with other S.H.Figuarts figures, check the height of your existing collection to maintain visual balance. Super Sailor Moon's box is slightly shorter in height (7 inches vs. 7.5 inches), which may matter if you store boxes on a tight shelf. Neither figure includes accessory details in the supplied catalog, so if accessories are important to you, contact the shop for specifics before ordering.

Condition and pre-owned considerations

Both figures are pre-owned. Super Sailor Moon is described as having a fully sealed box, while Eternal Sailor Moon's box is slightly damaged. The catalog warns that pre-owned merchandise may contain minor shelf damage unless noted otherwise. If you're a box collector, Super Sailor Moon's sealed box may be more appealing. If you display figures out of the box, the box condition matters less. Always ask the shop about an item's condition before purchasing for more details, especially for higher-priced items like Eternal Sailor Moon.

Trade-offs at a glance

  • Release year vs. price: Super Sailor Moon (2015) costs USD 38.07, while Eternal Sailor Moon (2022) costs USD 47.51. The newer figure costs about 25% more. If you want the latest release, pay the premium; if you want to save, the older figure is still a solid choice.
  • Height vs. compactness: Super Sailor Moon is approximately 5.66 inches tall; Eternal Sailor Moon is approximately 5.27 inches. The difference is about 0.4 inches. Check your display space and existing figures to decide which height fits better.
