Quick answer

The Sonic Varsity Crest Mug combines a letterman-style design with a 15 oz capacity, perfect for daily use. Follow these steps to enjoy it safely and keep it looking great.

Design highlights that affect daily use

The mug features a varsity crest with Sonic's shoe on one side and a sketch-style crest on the other. The deep blue handle and interior add a cohesive school-spirit look. Because the design is printed, avoid abrasive scrubbing to prevent wear over time.

Capacity and practical considerations

At 15 oz (443.6 ml), this mug holds a standard coffee or tea serving. It is microwave-safe? The catalog does not specify, so treat it as hand-wash only and avoid microwaving until you test with hot water. The wide base provides stability, but the glossy finish may show fingerprints.

Daily use steps for your Sonic Varsity Crest Mug

  1. First wash: Before first use, rinse the mug with warm water and mild dish soap. Dry with a soft cloth. Do not use a scouring pad; the printed design can scratch.
  2. Daily cleaning: Hand-wash after each use with a non-abrasive sponge. Avoid soaking for long periods. Dishwasher safety is not confirmed by the manufacturer, so hand-washing is safest.
  3. Avoid microwave unless tested: The catalog does not list microwave safety. Before microwaving, fill the mug with water and heat for 30 seconds. If the mug becomes hot to the touch, it is microwave-safe; if cold, do not use. When in doubt, use the mug only for cold or room-temperature drinks.
  4. Storage: Store the mug upright on a dry shelf. Stacking other mugs inside may scratch the interior glaze or design. Keep it separate from metal utensils that could chip the rim.
