Quick answer
The Sousai Shojo Teien After School Present Set is an optional accessory set from Kotobukiya's After School series, made to add themed display pieces to your existing Sousai Shojo Teien characters. If you already own a character from the line and want more scene options, it is a low-cost add-on; if you are starting from zero, buy a character kit first.
Optional means optional: what that changes for buyers
The catalog describes this as part of an optional part series, not a stand-alone character release. That wording matters because the set is designed to extend a figure you already have rather than replace one. If you are new to Kotobukiya Sousai Shojo Teien, the Present Set will not give you a character to build and pose on its own.
For existing collectors, the appeal is narrower and more practical: it is a themed add-on that changes how a character reads on the shelf. Treat it as a display upgrade, not a new centerpiece.
The honest limitation: contents are not itemized here
The supplied product information identifies the set as the sixth entry in the After School series but does not list individual pieces, part counts, or compatibility notes. That is a real decision limitation, not a detail to gloss over. Before buying, check the official Kotobukiya product page or the box images for the exact part list if you need to confirm a specific accessory.
What the listing does support is the series context: it is an After School optional part set, so it is intended to pair with Sousai Shojo Teien characters rather than with unrelated figure lines.
Sousai Shojo Teien After School Present Set FAQ
Is this a full figure or an accessory set?
It is an optional part set in the After School series, so it is meant to accompany Sousai Shojo Teien characters rather than serve as a complete figure on its own. Check that you own a compatible character before ordering.
What exactly is in the box?
The supplied listing does not itemize the contents. Use the official Kotobukiya product page or box photos to confirm the specific parts if a particular accessory matters to you. Do not assume a specific prop is included without checking the official part list.
Who is this set for?
It suits collectors who already build and display Sousai Shojo Teien characters and want to expand their after-school scene options. It is a poor first purchase for someone who has not yet bought a character from the line. New buyers should budget for a character kit first, then add this set later.
How does it fit with other After School sets?
As the sixth entry in the series, it is designed to sit alongside earlier After School optional parts. If you already collect those sets, check the theme overlap so you are not duplicating the same display idea. Compare themes across the After School series before adding another set.
Is the price a reason to buy now?
The catalog lists it at USD 9.91 against a comparison price of USD 15.99. That is a modest add-on cost, but it only makes sense if you already have a character to pair it with. Treat the saving as a bonus, not the main reason to buy.
