Quick Answer
Clean your Suguru Geto desk mat with a soft microfiber cloth and mild soap diluted in water, then air-dry it flat. Avoid harsh chemicals, scrubbing, and heat to keep the artwork vibrant.
Why Care Matters for Printed Desk Mats
The Suguru Geto desk mat features detailed artwork from Jujutsu Kaisen 0, and that print is its main appeal. Without proper care, the design can fade, crack, or peel, especially if you use aggressive cleaners or rough scrubbing.
Desk mats also see constant contact with wrists, mice, and spills. Knowing how to handle common stains and wear keeps the mat looking sharp and extends its life as both a mousepad and desk decoration.
Diagnosis: What's Wrong and How to Fix It
- Symptom: Surface looks dull or smudged: Likely cause: everyday oils and dust build up. Corrective action: wipe with a slightly damp microfiber cloth using plain water or a drop of mild dish soap. Rinse the cloth and wipe again to remove soap residue. Test on a small corner first if you're using soap for the first time.
- Symptom: Spilled drink or sticky residue: Likely cause: liquid seeped into the fabric surface. Corrective action: blot immediately with a dry cloth, then clean with a mild soap solution. Avoid soaking the mat; use minimal water. Air-dry flat. If the stain persists after two cleanings, stop and consider a professional cleaning service.
- Symptom: Edges curling or peeling: Likely cause: heat exposure or moisture damage. Corrective action: flatten under heavy books for a few hours, but if the layers separate, the mat is beyond home repair. Stop and replace it. Keep the mat away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent this.
