Quick Answer
The Super7 ReAction Godzilla Wave 10 figure, featuring Godzilla (2000, Charging), is a must-have for retro-style collectors who appreciate the Millennium era. Its 3.75-inch scale and classic articulation make it a fun, affordable addition to any Godzilla collection.
Why Wave 10 Stands Out
Wave 10 of the Super7 ReAction series brings back the Godzilla 2000: Millennium design, which kicked off the standalone Millennium series. This version captures Godzilla in a charging pose, reflecting his aggressive encounter with Orga. For collectors, this figure offers a nostalgic nod to the film that introduced a new generation to the King of the Monsters.
Articulation and Play Value
As a ReAction figure, Godzilla (2000, Charging) features the classic 5-point articulation typical of retro-style toys. This means limited poseability but a sturdy, display-friendly design. It's perfect for shelf posing or light play, though you shouldn't expect dynamic action poses like modern figures.
Scale and Display Considerations
At 3.75 inches, this figure fits well with other ReAction figures and many classic toy lines. Its charging pose adds visual interest, but the limited articulation means you'll want to position it carefully. Consider displaying it with other Millennium series figures or as a centerpiece in a retro-themed shelf.
Decision Rules for Buying Wave 10
- If you're a retro toy enthusiast: The ReAction line's classic 5-point articulation and vintage packaging are designed to mimic 1970s-80s toys. If that aesthetic is your priority, this figure is a solid choice.
- If you're a Godzilla completionist: This figure represents the Godzilla 2000 design, a distinct era in the franchise. Adding it to your collection covers that film's appearance without needing a larger, more expensive figure. Check if you already have other Millennium series figures to keep the theme consistent.
- If you prefer high articulation: This figure has limited poseability compared to modern lines like S.H.MonsterArts. If dynamic posing is essential, consider a different figure with more joints.
- If you're on a budget: With a catalog price of $12.40 (compared to $20.00), this figure offers an affordable entry point into the Godzilla collectibles market without sacrificing the iconic look. Compare prices across retailers to ensure you get the best deal.
