Quick Answer

The Gods Are Athirst 6D6 set is a visually striking, handmade sharp edge dice set that suits players who want a themed, high-quality d6 set for games that rely on d6 pools, such as Shadowrun or custom systems. Its elegant black and red smoke design with golden flake accents makes it a standout on any table.

Design and Craftsmanship

The Gods Are Athirst dice set features a black and red smoke design with golden flake accents, inked in shimmery bronze-gold. The smoky swirl pattern gives each die a unique look, and the gold flakes catch the light nicely during rolls.

These dice are handmade by skilled resin artists, so each set has subtle variations. This means no two sets are exactly alike, adding a personal touch to your gaming gear. The sharp edges give a crisp, clean aesthetic and a satisfying roll feel, though they require a bit more care than standard rounded dice.

Tabletop Performance

This set includes six d6 dice, making it ideal for games that use multiple d6s, such as Shadowrun, GURPS, or even classic board games that need a handful of six-sided dice. The sharp edges and handmade construction ensure balanced rolls, though they may not be perfectly casino-grade. For most tabletop play, they are more than adequate.

The bronze-gold inking is easy to read on the black and red background, even at a glance. The dice have a satisfying weight and feel, and the sharp edges make them roll with a crisp, definitive motion.

Wholesale Considerations

Note that this listing is for wholesale orders, with a minimum order quantity of 5 units. This is important if you are a store owner or want to buy a set for your gaming group. The catalog price is $46.23, with a comparison price of $69.00, reflecting a wholesale discount.

If you are an individual player, you might need to find a retailer that sells single sets, or consider pooling an order with friends. The wholesale requirement is a trade-off: you get a lower per-set price but must buy in bulk.

Decision Rules for The Gods Are Athirst Dice Set

  • Game Type: If your game uses d6 pools (like Shadowrun or custom systems), this set is a great fit. If you need a full polyhedral set (d4, d8, d10, d12, d20), this set won't cover those needs. Check the dice requirements of your game before buying.
  • Budget and Quantity: Since the MOQ is 5 units, this is best for those who need multiple sets or can split an order. If you only need one set, find a retailer that sells singles or consider the higher per-set cost. Calculate the total cost including shipping to ensure the wholesale price is worth it.
  • Care and Maintenance: Sharp edge dice are more prone to chipping than rounded dice. Store them in a padded dice bag or box, and avoid rolling them on hard surfaces like stone or concrete. Invest in a soft rolling mat to protect your dice.
