Quick Answer
Each Toho Foil Pack Trading Cards - Showa Series 1 - Single Pack contains a random selection of foil trading cards inspired by classic Showa-era Godzilla films, offering a surprise with every pack.
Why the Showa Series Stands Out
The Showa Series covers the original run of Godzilla movies from 1954 through 1975, a period packed with iconic monsters and memorable battles. These cards tap into that nostalgia, giving both longtime fans and new collectors a way to own a piece of that history.
Unlike modern digital collectibles, these are physical cards with a foil finish that catches the light. The foil treatment adds a premium feel, making each card a small display piece even before you slot it into a binder.
The Thrill of the Unknown
Part of the fun is that you never know exactly which cards you'll get. This randomness mirrors the suspense of a monster appearing unexpectedly in a movie. It also means that trading with friends or other collectors becomes part of the experience, as you swap duplicates to complete your set.
If you're after a specific card, buying single packs might take a few tries. Consider that when budgeting your collection.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many cards are in a single pack?
The exact card count per pack is not specified in the product listing. Typically, trading card packs contain a set number of cards, but for this product, the count is undisclosed. If you need a precise number, check the packaging or contact the retailer before buying.
Are the cards foil on all sides?
The product is described as a foil pack, but the listing doesn't specify whether the foil is on the front, back, or both. Expect a foil treatment that adds shine, but the exact finish may vary. For detailed specs, look for unboxing videos or ask the seller. If the foil finish is a deciding factor, see if you can find a photo of the card back before purchasing.
Can I collect the entire Showa Series?
Yes, the Showa Series 1 is the first set, so you can start collecting from the beginning. Since packs are random, you may need to buy multiple packs or trade to complete your collection. Check the product page for a checklist if available. Set a budget for how many packs you're willing to open to avoid overspending on duplicates.
