Quick answer
A Warhammer gaming mat serves both as desk protection and a dedicated play surface. Choose a mat based on the artwork that inspires you and the size that fits your desk.
Desk protection vs. play surface
A large gaming mat (80cm x 40cm) protects your desk from scratches, spills, and wear from mouse movements. At the same time, its high-quality sublimation print provides a vibrant play surface that showcases your favorite Warhammer artwork.
What to consider before buying
All Warhammer Officially Licensed Merchandise gaming mats share the same dimensions and rubber base to keep them firmly in place. The main difference is the artwork: choose a design that matches your gaming mood or collection theme.
Trade-offs at a glance
- Artwork variety: Each mat features different official Warhammer art. Vermintide 2 mats show enemies or the Ubersreik Five; Boltgun displays 40K action.
- Size and fit: All mats are 80cm x 40cm, which fits most standard desks but may not cover full-length desks or sit well on very small surfaces. Measure your desk before ordering to ensure the mat fits without overhang.
- Dual purpose: The mat works as both a mouse pad and a desk protector. If you only need a small mouse pad, these large mats may be overkill.
