Quick answer
For Wicked fans who want a licensed case that fits both the original Switch and Switch 2, the Wicked: Witches Edition Carry Case is a solid choice—just check your console model and expected protection level before buying.
Why compatibility matters for Switch 2 cases
The Nintendo Switch 2 has slightly different dimensions than the original Switch, so not every old case fits. This official Wicked case is designed to be compatible with both the Switch and Switch 2, which makes it a versatile option if you plan to upgrade or already own both consoles.
When you pick a case, think about how you'll use it: if you mostly play at home, a slim case might be enough; if you travel often, you may want extra padding. The Wicked case offers a balance, but it's not a heavy-duty protective shell.
What the Wicked artwork adds to your setup
The case features officially licensed Wicked-inspired artwork, so it's a way to show off your fandom while keeping your console safe. The design captures the magical world of Elphaba and Glinda, making it a conversation starter and a collectible in its own right.
If you're a collector of officially licensed merchandise, this case fits that theme. It's not just a functional accessory; it's also a display piece that reflects your taste in movies and games.
Decision rules for choosing this case
- Check your console model: Confirm you have a Nintendo Switch or Switch 2, since the case is designed for both. If you have an older Switch Lite, this case may not fit properly. Measure your console or check the model number before purchasing.
- Assess your protection needs: This case offers basic protection for everyday travel and storage. If you need heavy-duty shock absorption or water resistance, consider a rugged case instead. If you often drop your console or travel in harsh conditions, look for extra padding.
- Consider your style preference: The Wicked artwork is a key selling point. If you prefer a subtle or minimalist case, this might not match your taste. Think about whether you want your case to be a statement piece or just functional.
