Quick Answer
For the complete story of Elphaba and Glinda, get both: the Wicked original cast recording vinyl now and pre-order Wicked Part Two when available. If you want the classic Broadway experience today, start with the original cast recording.
Why Two Soundtracks?
The Wicked movie is split into two parts. Part One covers the first act of the Broadway musical, while Part Two completes the story. Each has its own soundtrack, meaning you get two distinct vinyl releases to fully experience the score.
Wicked vs Wicked Part Two: Trade-offs
- Wicked Original Cast Recording Vinyl: Available now on green/black vinyl. Includes the complete first act of the musical as performed on Broadway. Best for starting your collection immediately.
- Wicked Part Two Soundtrack Vinyl: Releases with the second film. Contains the second act, including new songs written for the movie. Wait if you want the full story in one sitting.
- Both Albums: Buying both gives you the entire narrative arc across two LPs, each with its own unique vinyl color and packaging. Ideal for collectors and fans who want the complete experience.
